FROM THE MOUTH OF BABES

Peeps know my take on what happens in The Hood.

The Florida tragedy is only one spot and when something like that hits the news, it takes away from the reality of the rest of the USA. Why? Because folks can feel good about rallying behind or speaking out momentarily about a single atrocity. Then slip it away until next time.

For a young man like my neighbor's son, a African descended youth, who has to d
eal with police intimidation every day, Florida just sounds all too familiar. I'd like you truly consider his comment:

"When I'm laying in my bed and I look up and it's morning or afternoon sunny outside basically if I see a light flash wild fast on my Cellin when I look up that's life passing me by when I could be outside but the cops always want static so I try and stay as much as possible not valid."
